San Marino is a nation that is located in the Apennine Mountains and it is completed surrounded by Italy on its sides. The country has about thirty thousand people living on its land and City of San Marino is the capital city of this nation.

San Marino has a Mediterranean climate and it has cool winter months and warm summer months. It may not be a member of the European Union, but San Marino has been permitted to use ‘Euro’ as its currency.

Prior to changing its currency to Euro, the currency of this country was the Sammarinese lira. About almost half of San Marino’s Gross Domestic Product is dependent on the nation’s tourism industry.

It has more than three million tourists visiting its land each year. There are other industries in the country that are important as well and they are ceramics, electronics and banking.
